Pine Tree Training Camping Trip to Schiff - March 16 - 18, 2012

During the Trip, on Saturday, March 17th, there will be Pine Tree Training in which scouts will learn to shoot a BB Gun. In our downtime, we will be doing lots of fun scout activities such as hiking and starting the new scouts on training to get their Totin' Chip which, when received, scouts will be able to use a knife, saw and ax on camping trips. For more info, click HERE   Troop instructors and guides are expected to attend to work with your new scouts.

Scout Master Frank and the older scouts will be cooking for the troop. New scouts, leaders and parents will be sleeping in the lodge while older scouts will camp in tents outside. The lodge sleeps 20 so we need to plan ahead.

The trip will cost $10/scout. Additional charges for food and fuel will be determined after the trip. The cost will be split among all participants  after the trip is completed and all costs are determined. The Troop will pay for the lodge.

For new scouts that already bridged into the Troop from your Pack, a parent CAN attend but they MUST complete all requirements outlined in black below. For scouts that have not bridged yet, including those that will bridge in June 2011, a parent MUST attend and MUST complete all requirements outlined below.

The requirements for all parents attending over-night trips are:

  1. Register withe the Troop by completing an Adult Registration Form
  2. Complete Youth Protection Training. This can be done on your computer and takes ~30 minutes. Click HERE to get trained.
